Kyla Kaiqi Liang is an artist based in New York, working across photography, moving images, and installation. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Photography at Parsons School of Design.

She is interested in urban transition, where spaces shift between use and disuse, decay and renewal, exposure and concealment. Her work reimagines scale, function, and permanence within this negotiation of public space. Attuned to the index of time, its violence and the traces it leaves, her practice explores how transformation is inscribed onto the urban environment.
