Kyla Liang (b. 2001, China) works across photography, video, sculpture, and site-specific installation. Liang’s work often begins with a desire to understand, belong to, or play with a place. Moving between physical and imagined spaces, she looks at how we follow the rules of a place, and how shifts in scale or function can change our relationship to it.
Liang holds an MFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design. Her work has been exhibited at Right Art Museum, Shanghai; A4 Art Museum, Chengdu; Another Art Museum, Guangzhou; Big Pie Gallery, Macau; Gallery MC, New York; the American Center for Photographers, Wilson; Photoville Festival, Brooklyn; and Accent Sisters, New York.
