Kyla Kaiqi Liang (b. 2001, Zhuhai) is a visual artist based in New York working across photography, video, installation, and site-specific intervention. Her projects often begin through walking, observation, and repeated returns to overlooked urban sites such as narrow gaps, playgrounds, and abandoned or transitional spaces. Treating urban space as both subject and material, her work creates subtle shifts in scale and function between objects, bodies, and built space. Moving between the miniature and the monumental, Liang combines a playful and improvised visual language with a precise, almost architectural sense of structure. Her work reflects on how public space is shaped by permission, visibility, and control.

Liang is an MFA candidate in Photography at Parsons School of Design. Her solo exhibition was presented at Houshan Art Space in Zhuhai, China. Her work has been shown at Accent Sisters, New York; Photoville, Brooklyn; A4 Art Museum, Chengdu; and Another Art Museum, Guangzhou. She is also the founder of Detour Press in New York. Her publications and artworks have been presented at Printed Matter’s Art Book Fair at MoMA PS1, and her video work has been screened and recognized at film festivals in Macau.
